April 19-21, 2024 - Join us virtually as we partner to strengthen marriages and parents on the autism journey. Autism in Black is one of the only Black Neurodivergent Led Virtual Conferences in the United States.
Kwame and Nakia Stringfield moderated a panel discussion as advocates and parents of an autistic daughter. The panel showcased diverse perspectives of autism, including the moderators who are parents of children on the special needs spectrum. Discussion was held with local Pastors (Senior Pastor Mitchell Summerfield and Associate Pastor Delon Fletcher) plus educators (Dr. Jamie N. Pearson and Kalihah B. Fletcher). The conversation included removing stigmas and providing resources and education for special needs individuals ultimately to change mindsets around autism in the African American community.

The conversation explores the concept of rewiring parenting and rewiring marriage to navigate the unique challenges faced when raising disabled children.
